Is There A Possible Middle Ground Between Us Hobbyists and Exterminators?

For context, I am a regular keeper of true spiders and myglamorphs as well as amphibians as of late. Around last year however I was stricken with a bed bug infestation (gotta love working at a hotel) and despite all my efforts had to resort to an exterminator. They were actually really cool about the spider keeping and even suggested moving my enclosures because they didn't know for sure if the crossfire would do harm to my animals or not.
After 3 months they came back to make sure my infestation was gone and sure enough it was. All my animals are still alive after the treatment as well thanks to their advice and despite being an invertebrate lover I did what I thought I'd never do and shook hands with an exterminator.
Having gone through this experience and over the past 6 months going without itchiness and fear of social isolation, I am still grateful for those guys and recognize they are a necessity when dealing with things like bed bugs, lice, and cockroaches, but as a keeper of spiders, scorpions, and mantis, I still can't fully justify the existence of a business whose sole profit is killing them. Is there any kind of middle ground here?
