2023.03.25 10:24 tyniiemoseri Started as a dishwasher, now I’m being asked to take over prep for 6 hours of my shift on top of closing dishes.

I work at a place that does hand wash only dishes, I’m the only dishwasher (besides one day where someone else will do them on my day off). I really loved my job when it was just dishes. I was able to stay on top of them 100%, but now I’m being asked to do prep work on top of that (salads, wraps, making sure we have enough chicken prepped for the next day).
I’m really upset by this now and it’s making me hate the job. One prep person is there from 8am-4pm, then I take over from 4pm-8pm. Then I have to also do closing dishes which take around 1.5-2 hours. The other prep person doesn’t have to do dishes at all. I have to make replacements for everything we sell, make sure we have enough ingredients for the next day, etc.
Is this ridiculous or should I stick with it? I definitely do more work than the other prep person because I have to deal with dinner rush and dish. I don’t like being behind in my work and it’s basically impossible to keep up with dishes now and it’s frustrating as fuck.

For context: I’m a international student. I live in the college dorms because I don’t have a car. The FWB is a girl that I matched on Tinder a little over a year ago. We met up a few times and made out. She told me at that time that she and her ex just broke up and wasn’t ready for a relationship.
Personally, I was fine with being just FWB since I was trying to get back to “normalcy” after the relationship with my ex girlfriend of 2 years. I had met my FWB around 6 months after the breakup. We paused the thing between us because she moved to another part of the state for work.
A year later, she told me she was moving back here. I waited around 1-2 weeks to meetup with her because she was tied up with her new job and busy finding a place (and moving). I did my part of giving her space and time as I didn’t want to make her feel pressured.
The past week, she had sent me multiple flirty texts and even asked me to come over yesterday. I was busy with my college assignments. So, I communicated that I’ll see her the very next day (today).
Today, I cleared my schedule and spent most of the day texting her. Around 7-8pm, she told me she needs to meetup with a female friend that’s leaving town for an hour or so at a bar. She said she’ll text me around midnight with the details of the address and stuff.
Around 11pm, she started sexting me again for 15-20 mins. She told me she can’t wait to see me tonight.
Then, she stopped responding.
At 1am, I messaged her and asked her if she still wanted me to come over. She then replied that her friend puked all over her car and she was allowing her to crash at her place for the night. She then sent a NSFW pic as a “apology”.
At that point, I was kinda frustrated and told her that she should communicate better and let me know ASAP that there was some issue instead of making me wait hours after sexting me (even until the last moment).
Then, she got mad and proceeded to tell me that I’m not really her type and that she’s only been talking to me because I was “cool” to her and that she had fun the last time we were together. She also pointed out that the fact that I didn’t own a car and that me living in the dorms were 2 big negatives for her.
Honestly, a part of me was relieved that I finally got the truth from her. But I gotta admit that I felt like crying because it’s demoralizing and hurtful to have someone say that you’re not attractive to your face and I just hate myself for being an idiot and letting this girl play me like this.
I did my best to keep my composure despite hearing this from her and told her that I’m not interested in doing anything with someone that doesn’t find me attractive. I blocked her a minute later.
tl;dr My FWB stood me up last minute after making plans with me and told me to my face that I’m not her type (as in she’s not attracted to me) and she just wanted to hookup because I was “cool” to talk to and because she had fun the previous times we were together. Proceeded to degrade me for being a college student living in the dorms and not owning a car.
I could some words of encouragement. Please…
