My thoughts never take a rest, they're in a constant state of motion.
It's hard to give my best when I'm drowning in an ocean.
A sea of negativity, I've been searching for a potion.
That could cure this mental sickness, I've been at it with devotion.
Maybe I just need some lotion, my brain feels like it's dried up.
Moisturize the anguish and release potential that's been tied up.
With the bondage of my ego, I was a slave to my pride yup.
So I proceed to take a wide cup, I'm pouring out my heart.
Mix it with some honesty, so far it's tasting pretty tart.

Me and my gf live in the UK and we're planning a holiday abroad for the summer. We were initially on the same page of wanting a holiday with a lot of activities so we could really experience somewhere new. My gf has now decided to change her mind and want a holiday where she does nothing and sits by the pool and beach. This doesn't work for me since I get bored and restless easily so I have been trying to compromise and find a beach resort with a lot of things to do and places to see nearby. I found somewhere that i thought was great. It had a huge pool, right next to the beach but there was still a town to explore and tours and boat trip and a lot of other things you could book for nearby.
We're planning on going away for 7 nights. When I showed my gf the place she thought the hotel looked really nice then I told her about the activities I was looking at. She just asked why i was looking at that much since she wants a relaxing holiday and while she'll do something for 1 day, she wants to spend the rest of the holiday relaxing. I pointed out the activities were just for me while she was relaxing and while she's welcome to join me, I'm happy to do them on my own since I knew she wanted to relax. She said she expected me to be relaxing with her but I pointed out it's just not fun for me. I'm happy to relax by the pool a couple of times but not all day and I don't really like the beach so I'll probably only go on it once.
She just asked what the point of the holiday is since we're not even going to be together and refused to listen that this was the best compromise for us. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this situation?

Friends is my ultimate comfort show, have watched it too many times 😂Other shows I love are Brooklyn 99, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Blackadder, Big Bang Theory, You, Maniac and The Last of Us. My favourite movie is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 and I occasionally watch anime too, I've really enjoyed Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul and Toradora.
Sports - I'm very much into WWE, and I watch some football, NFL and Formula 1.
Animals - I absolutely adore animals. I don't have any pets currently but plan on getting one as I think I could give one a really loving home and I'm too soppy for my own good 😂 Currently thinking its likely to be a small dog, guinea pigs or a rabbit. I'm really allergic to cats though which sucks.
Disclaimer - in the interest of being open about myself, I do have a disability that leaves me pretty limited physically and I need a mobility aid if I'm leaving the house. So hopefully you would be okay with that. I have chronic fatigue syndrome, which I've recently made some good progress with and I hope that continues. I'm a fighter and I don't let it consume my life and I stay as positive as I can. I think i'd still make a great househusband :D Another thing I want to be very up front about is that I have a daughter who is school age, she is an absolute angel, she doesn't live with me but I see her as much as I can and love her to bits.

Just set up the DS723+ and installed Backup for Business which seems to be the best backup option, I have it set up to backup two volumes on my PC, C: (Corsair Force MP400) and D: (Samsung 980 Pro).
The update starts fine but after reaching about 200GB copied I get an error that says that "snapshot image could not be read", "Error 23", "Could not read C:\". After som googling I found a Synology support page which suggested doing a full disk check/fix – which I did (took about 30 min). This did not fix the error however.
Is there any way to get around this? I would prefer just to select a few folders on C but for some reason you have to backup whole volumes.
